Economic data out this week include a pair of inflation measures. On Tuesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the Consumer Price Index for September. The core Producer Price Index for September, out Wednesday, is predicted to have risen 0.2%, after climbing 0.4% in August.
Other releases include the University of Michigan’s Consumer Sentiment Index for October and the Census Bureau’s retail-sales data for September, both on Friday.
